Target: to offer affordable rental units

The Coalition has been working with New Commons Development since January 2023 to develop plans for a new building on the site.  Jost Architects was hired to do the designs and Garian Construction is the construction manager.  Every level of government has collaborated with the planning and pre-development costs. 

We now have the complete drawings for a fixed cost estimate of the building phase and the Pro-forma establishing the viability of the project with affordable rents as required by the government (under 80% of median market rents).  The federal election held up the process for a month but we should have the final piece of funding in place soon.

Demolition of the motel was scheduled for May but will probably not happen until June. We will be selling the last of the saleable items soon!
